The brief
Trades sites live or die on trust, and most plumbing emergencies end in a phone call rather than a form. The brief was a site that answers “can you help me, and how fast?” in the first screen — without looking like every other tradesman template.
The approach
Photography carries the design instead of icons: a full-bleed hero, a six-service photo grid and editorial split sections, held together by hairline rules rather than floating cards. The phone number sits in the sticky header on desktop and in a fixed call bar on mobile, so it is one tap away at any scroll position.
The result
Twenty pages — six service pages, four service-area pages, reviews, about and contact — wired together with local business schema and internal linking, so it ranks for the searches that actually convert. Every photo is a documented placeholder the owner swaps for their own.
